ABOUT US:
Institute for European Initiatives is a non-governmental organisation that facilitates preparation, implementation and settlement of EU projects for Polish local authorities and other public equivalent bodies or NGOs, mainly for the ones located in Pomeranian Voivodship. In broader perspective, Institute operates on Polish territory facilitating contacts and cooperation between Polish and foreign partners.
Institute also implements socio-economic projects financed either from own resources or from EU funds. The aim of Institute for European Initiatives is to provide professional educational and advisory services related to European Union policies, funds and programmes in order to raise awareness about European Union. Institute’s activities cover among others: promoting cultural and natural heritage, ecology, civil society, development of SME sector, propagating activity of youth, etc.
Institute members are a group of experts from various professional backgrounds, including European law, management and economy, with vast professional experience in management of local authority structures and contacts with EU bodies. We are experienced in preparing, implementing and managing projects as well as in advising and organising training seminars, workshops and conferences.
Institute for European Initiatives, by engaging the know-how of its members, has vast experience in preparation and realisation of EU-funded projects, to start with PHARE projects and 2004-2006 Polish National Programmes’ projects, through international YOUTH Programme (now ‘Youth in Action’) and Town Twinning projects, and to end with Leader+, Norwegian Financial Mechanism, INTERREG IIIA, IIIB, and IIIC complex, multi-partner initiatives.
From the beginning of its existence, Institute cooperates with diverse public entities, local authorities, public equivalent institutions and non-governmental organizations, which have very different needs and characteristics.

Institute for European Initiatives is also a Local Action Group (LAG) under Leader+ scheme consisting of eight rural communes from Pomeranian Voivodship: Choczewo, Główczyce, Gniewino, Kosakowo, Krokowa, Nowa Wie¶ Lęborska, Puck, Wicko. The main goal of the LAG is contribution to further development of the region in tourism, economy, ecology, culture and social aspects.
Currently the Institute coordinates the activities of Polish partners in SusSET project (www.susset.org), ongoing in the framework of Community Initiative INTERREG IIIC. In this project, three Polish partner towns cooperate with partner towns from Greece, Scotland and Sweden in order to elaborate best tools and mechanisms to support and sustain small expanding towns.
